Title: 16 ga shells?
Post by: wisconsinteacher on February 25, 2011, 10:01:28 PM
Local store has Remington hunting 16 ga shells on sale for 6.00 for 25 rounds.  Should I get #6 shot?  They are lead and will be shot out of and old single shot with a fixed full choke.

I patterned my ol' single shot 16 gauge with the Remington Express #6.  You will have to hit the range to check your gun and it's limitations but that load is a great start.

Was that with a single shot?  Also, what choke did you use?

The gun is a Old H&R baystate 16 ga. I installed a custom .610 choke tube that was made for Browning shotguns.
