Title: question on dsd decoy staking system
Post by: tomanyturkeycalls on April 10, 2012, 06:46:42 PM
Just got my 2 dsd decoys in the mail today...upright hen and feeder hen... look awesome .. the steel stakes have got a rubber stopper on them that was down around the point of the stake..... what is it for?  To limit how far to stick it into the ground or are you suppose to slide it up an but it against the decoy when deployed in the field?? Thought maybe it was to control movement but not sure.. When I opened them up it was near the sharpened point on the stake..

It's for slowing the spinning of the decoy in the wind and setting the height of the decoy .

Thanks alot guys I figured it might have been to control movement of the decoys but when it was about 3 inches from the point I wasn't sure.....no instructions in my boxes...
