Title: I believe...Fed HW 7's
Post by: BBD on April 08, 2012, 09:24:33 PM
I was skeptical of the 7 shot at such a large bird but my son showed me this morning that the Fed HW 7's can flat get it done!!  He shot this gobbler at 16 steps this morning (his 2nd turkey in 2 hunts) and he hit him right above the beard. FLAT SLAMMED him. The other 2 longbeards came running back in and put on an incredible show for us.

Scene of the Crime, can see the wadding laying where it bounced off the birds chest

That is great!  And I can tell you from experience that those 7's will slam a big gobbler out to 40 with no problems

He is 7 but is small even for 7.  That was his second turkey, he got his first the day before with the HS Magnum Blends. It was the last one I had, can't find them anywhere but I had patterned it with the Fed HW 6's and 7's. The 6's were horrible but the 7's look nice on paper.  I'm hoping he can put a couple more down in NE in a few weeks  ;D

Thanks I'm was hoping my grandsons (twins) would be able to handle those Fed HVY Wt 7's and if not this year maybe next.  They are 6 but are on the taller size for their age.
