12 ga 870 21 " barrel with 655 JH...what is the best lead shell?
I also have the factory xtra full choke

"Best" is usually a relative term when patterning shotguns. That being said, I would look into some Winchester HV #6's. My old mans 870 loves them, and they have a proven track record out of that gun.

Done a little shooting yesterday and I have to say guns will surprise you sometimes lol. All I can say is I will be shooting Rem. 3 in #5's. In second place was Win Red shell 3in #5. I had some supreme #6's and they were ugly lol. I still want to try some Win XX #5's as that is my all time favorite shell.

Never can tell with shotguns sometimes lol! What kind of numbers are those rems putting up for you? Ive never been able to get them to pattern well.

I got 109-114 at 40 yds...I was happy with it. Good even pattern
