Thanks they are great chokes , this was my back up one . $45 is actually what I paid for it so after shipping and paypal charge its about $38 for the choke which I think is fair from what I've seen these and the Star dots going for lately .

If I had the cash to burn I'd take it for a spare. Thats what I shoot on my 835 and it works great.

Frank, you handled yourself well. If people don't like ur price they don't have to buy it. They shouldn't comment on ur price, especially in your ad. If they seriously have that much of a problem they can send you a pm. I applaud your response and behavior. And no I don't know frank from Adam.

What does it matter what frank sells it for? If u want to negotiate a price, be respectful and do it thru a pm.

A well known poster on this site several months ago bought a $20 20ga choke on gunbroker then came over here and attempted to sell it for twice the price. Should I name names? It wasn't worth that price.  I saw what he did, didn't interest me, so I didn't comment.  To each their own; be respectful.

QuoteThose are decent chokes, but $45 is a bit on the high side for that choke.

I have an INV+ Preston Pittman Star Dot for my BPS.  It throws very good patterns with Hevishot.  Not a great 40 Yard Lead choke in my gun, but very much worth $45 for its performance with Hevishot.  I had the same experience with a RemChoke version last year as well.  Great for Hevi #6 and #7, nothing special with Lead.

I know that they were less when they were new, but they don't make them anymore, so there's not a never-ending supply of them.

One day the Remington Ventilator chokes will still have a following, and there won't be an online supplier selling them for $15 anymore.  They'll probably sell for $30-$50 then.
