My son finally connected on his first bird. He missed two last year. We was at Land Between The Lakes on the Tennessee side for the drawed youth hunt. He dropped this bird at 6:37 Saturday morning. This was a hoss turkey with 11.250" Rope of a Beard, 1" spurs on both legs and weighed in at 20 lbs. I think I was more excited than he was especially when I jumped up and started acting like a fool. He had to say calm down dad several times. What a joy to hunt with my son. Priceless. Here some Pics:

Way to go! We were out there too. There WERE lots of birds. Heard they killed 34 on Mondays hunt alone. I have the hunt this weekend and don't think the birds we were on are going to be there anymore but still going to try.
