Post by: yelpy on April 06, 2012, 01:05:56 AM
Here are a few 10 #'s from various chokes.

Hevi choke .667 - 2oz. TSS #7's = 182
Hevi choke .667 - 2oz. Duplex TSS #7x8's = 228
JH .668 -  2oz.TSS #7's - 145
Jh .668 - 2oz. Duplex TSS #7x8's - 178
GG .670 - 2oz. TSS #7's - 150
GG .655 - 2oz. HW #7's - 120
GG .640 - 2oz. HW 15 #7's = 112
Wilson Presition not to sure the constriction - 2oz. TSS #7's - 190
Wilson Presition - 2oz. HW 15 #7's = 142

Also tryed a Pure Gold .670 that would be good for wing shooting that's about it in my gun and a Carlson's .690. The both looked about the same patterns. Very open.

I am trying to figure out which way to go with the Gobbler Guns choke. All patterns are pretty even just no tight core.

My SBEII really liked the G.G .665, but I'm not shooting hand loads only factory loads.

What factory loads are you shooting? Do they happen to be the flight control Fed? I know the G.G. chokes seem to do well with them from the info I've been gathering.

How's the 10-20" circle with the HS .667 and TSS 7x8s?

Just circled and counted them for you. I actually cut the cardbord and part of the 20 ended up being cut off on the right side so I had to count them in there were 16 hits in the piece I cut off and 146 in the rest so the count in the area between 10 and 20 would be 162. The pattern looks to me like it is choked a but much but it sure will kill a turkey.
