What is your favorite striker on a copper surface? And same question on anodized aluminum?

Thanks Roy

I too am interested in other's opinion on this matter. I have three strikers that I carry and currently have a copper over glass and a glass over glass pots. I'll use a purple heart on the copper but have recently bought a bocote flared tipped that I'm liking more and more. The other striker I'll use is a laminate but prefer that one on the glass.

sounds kinda stupid, but i carry a african blackwood, a yellow heart, a purple heart, an 2 different oaks, a maple, a walnut a cherry, a carbon, a hickory, and a birch. They all sound different on any pot call you use them, and ya never know the mood of the gobbler. Sometimes you just have to switch it up annd he will answr you.. just my two cents

I'm no help on copper, but for the Al, persimmon sounds good. Hickory is good, too.

On copper I use either zebrawood or osage. The zebrawood is a little deeper but purrs excellent & the osage has a higher front end but more rasp on the bottom end & purrs good but not as good as the zebra.

I like curly maple, sycamore, and white oak for copper.

Zebrawood for copper.

Padauk and Kwila for aluminum.  Sometimes a Dymondwood laminate as well for aluminum.

I sell all of my copper calls now with a cedar striker and an osage striker.  The cedar is amazing for soft sounds with very little pressure on the striker.  The osage has a much bolder sound.
