Title: Haint Gobble Call Test
Post by: Gobble! on April 03, 2012, 08:11:18 AM
I have a piece of property that has 4 super jakes running things in one area. They gobble at everything. I know there are some long beards there but they keep pretty silent due to these jakes. I decided I would take the haint with me to give it a try before the season. Setup on the opposite side of a field where they were roosting this morning. About 0630 the jakes got started. About 0645 I heard one good sounding gobble and sure enough thats where the jakes headed fast. I decided to let out some gobbles on the haint. These jakes went ape shat. They must of gobbled 30 times in a 2 minute span. Shortly after I see one long beard come out silent. Not a minute ofter he came out here came the freaking jakes running him off. He headed back into the woods and they followed right behind him. Its has taken about 3 months of practice but I must say overall I am impressed with the performance of this call.

Nice! I seen the videos, but it looks like a tough call to master. Good luck with that gobbler!
