Title: JAKES trout fishing day w/pics
Post by: barry on April 02, 2012, 05:16:12 PM
Pic heavy but worth the look if you like little kids and big fish!

The James River NWTF Chapter in Bedford, VA just hosted its' 4th trout fishing event this past weekend. We purchased over $1000 worth of trout and had 66 kids of all ages came out to enjoy a beautiful day and test their fishing skills. Some lunkers were caught and NO ONE fell in!
Along with the kids we had 63 parents and 16 chapter volunteers on hand. Volunteers cooked hotdogs and hamburgers for lunch and then we had a door prizes for all the kids.
Thanks to a very generous farm owner for letting us use his facilities.

A huge THANK-YOU goes out to call makers around the country (many on this site) that donated calls to help us raise extra money making it possible for us to host this event.

Enjoy the pics!

This lucky young man reeled in a 6 lb bass! Check out the look on his sisters' face in the background.

More little fishermen and fisherwomen.
