A friend of mine called me today and said he tried one of the nitro 4x5x7 loads in his remington 870. His gun has a 26" barrel and was using a jellyhead .570. He only had the quaker boy targets to shoot at. They have the 12" circle on them. He got 204 in the circle at 40yds.

Doesn't suprise me, the forum member I got my straight 7's from stated that the triplex load shot just as well out of his son's 870.

got 134 in 10" at 40 yds n jelly head with nitros with a dirty 21" barrel. polished the barrel and expect it to do at least somewhat better but it did have a good even pattern. the 50 yard pattern was lethal and the 25 yd was still plenty open to hunt with. Tried IC .555 and it sucked @ 40 yd with nitro

Are you using Remington Nitro or the handloaded Nitro Ray Nitros?
