Its gonna rain pretty bad tomorrow. So what do you guys think? Should I still chase or put it to rest. I got a few birds located, will they still be in the area and heading to the same strutt zones.
I'd go. They don't have any other place to be so you may as well be out there with them.
It poured and hailed today. I decided to go out and see if the turkeys were around. I saw them all standing in the field at 630 pm where they usually are before fly up.
i like a rainy day once in a while.i usually concentrate on open areas on rainy days.

The only thing you know for SURE is that if you don't go, you won't kill one.

Those little periods where the rain breaks up...you need to be out there. They hunker down when its falling--those first five minutes when it lets up.....he might screw up.

Dead on. Have watched them do that many times. It's why I don't go on any trips without my blind to handle that kind of weather.

Yup :funnyturkey:
Be careful they will probably stay in the rooste pretty late. I have busted them at 10:00 on a rainy day. But when it lets up head to there favorite field they'll be there. Good luck guys.
I was hunting Aiken Co. S.C. one time bout 35yrs ago....I would hunt Piedmont Public land before going in to work in Martinez, Ga. Anyway, I didn't hear a peep and right after daylight it came a toad stringer..poured down for about 1/2hr. and staid real overcast. I still didn't hear anything after it quit so decided to walk down a power- line right off the hwy and give the old Lynch Jet Slate one more run. Bam..Gobble, Gobble.
He was sittin right off the power-line in a pine. Flew down soakin wet and went into his last strut.
Rain has been good to me in the past.Lee
