Title: I mowed the lawn today, it must be turkey season
Post by: old frank on February 24, 2011, 08:50:01 PM
I cannot remember such a mild February in Georgia. Trees and rose bushes are budding, I actually mowed the lawn today. Mostly to clean it up from winter mess.

I know we probably are going to see cold weather again. We are famous for march snow and ice storms but this weather is unbelievable.

I am wearing shorts and T shirts.

I wonder what the turkeys are thinking. Still 29 days until the season opens.

This weather has been crazy, but I'm loving it.  It's got me even more fired up for turkey season than before

Exact same scenario here in Iowa. Really sucks.

Cold with a mix turning to snow here. Looks like we'll wind up with 6" of snow. This stinks.

I usually start mowing in April and then every week until first frost in October. Then I get to mulch and rake leaves.

What a difference a week makes. Last Monday we had 9 inches of snow. Today we had about an inch of rain. Highs above freezing all week and I may get to see grass before the end of the week.  :happy0064:
