Title: Good mornin with Tony and my MERO trumpet
Post by: jbrown on March 29, 2012, 01:52:27 PM
Finally got my old buddy Tony to pull the trigger, his first bird this season, 15.5lb, beard 6", spurs 3/4". We heard 8 gobblers on the limb, but not much after fly down. The bird we killed started gobblin at 8:30, he gobbled more and more until Tony killed him at 9:45, he had 1 jake with him and no hens. This bird was small, but Tony couldn't have been more excitied if the bird had 2" spurs! We had and awesome mornin in the turkey woods.....we always do!!!! This gobbler died at 25 steps, he loved the sound of my MERO trumpet!!! Thanks Brain. Good huntin to all.
