During our driftwood hunt we ended up with this huge root wad of black walnut.....here are some pics of the stuff....

This piece is 2 - 1/2" X 2 - 1/4" X 12" and there is enough of the root left to cut at least ten more of these babies. We plan on cutting out a couple rifle butt and fore arm blanks too.....this root wad was at least six feet long and three feet across.....
