I had an awesome hunt yesterday on some public land in west central FL! I heard him at daylight and engaged him around 745. After about a hour and a half and 200 gobbles later he was on the ground. All the gobbling had me real nervous about someone else trying to sneak in on us but thankfully we were left alone. He had a hen with him that I was able to intimidate enough to make her run off or at least become a non issue. After eight moves on him I fed him a 2 1/4 ounce load of #7 hevi shot and he never flopped! It was a great morning!(http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z430/kdavis31/IMG_20120324_103242.jpg)

What's cool is that I think all the birds from our team thus far have been from public land.
