I went a scouted some private land that a friend of mine has Friday morning and it didn't take long to find the birds. They pitched right down onto a power line and strutted their for about 2 hours. We slipped back in about 45 minutes before daylight this morning with his 14 year old son and got set up. There were 5 gobblers within 300 yards of our position and this old boy pitched down within 75 yards and strutted on over to find some lovin... Love Hurts.

Congrats a bunch of the youngsters around the house have smacked em this weekend! With all the kil pics I have seen this weekend I got out this morning with the video camera. Got some good footage of a big tom and 6 hens even had them at 30 yards with him spitting and drumming. He was silent even on the roost. Heard prolly 100 gobbles from other birds in the area but he said nothing. He had his women so why talk lol
