Post by: max1982 on March 24, 2012, 01:50:50 PM
I am going to buy a new choke tube and am wondering your opinions about a jelly head or a hevi-shot choke tube. I am going to shoot lead not hevi-shot please give me your opinion i have 2 differant lead loads and am planning on buying a couple more today to try.

Thanks
Max

My 835 with the hevishot choke will out shoot my buddies 935 with a jellyhead. This is using hevishot though. He gets really good patterns with flight control 5's. However, I can't see buying a choke designed for hevishot and shooting lead through it. Just an opinion but I think the jellyhead would be the way for you to go.

you will never know which is "best" until you screw both in on the same day same load, but either one will get you started..then buy the other on sale after the season.
