Title: Need help finding a part!
Post by: spctbone on March 23, 2012, 09:27:47 PM
I recently bought a Charles Daly Field Model Auto. in 12 ga. Well I shot it exactly 4 times and the firing pin broke!!! :angry9: I have searched all over the internet trying to find one to replace it and it seems they are rarer than a 6 bearded hen! :)

Does anyone know where I might find one?

thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, when Charles Daly closed their doors, many parts became very difficult if not impossible to find.

I'd recommend that you call Mann & Son Sporting Goods (Since 1946) at 618.357.2911 and ask for John or Dustin. They may be able to help you either locate one or find someone who can fabricate a firing pin for you.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,
Clark

Thank you Clark!

You're welcome. They are fine folks and will help you all they can. Those parts can be almost impossible to find but if anyone can, they can.

Thanks,
Clark

If that doesn't work, check Numrich Gun Parts http://www.gunpartscorp.com  they carry a bunch of parts and I've had good luck finding things there.

GunBroker.com has one but it's for an o/u.  Not sure if its the same firing pin.  I don't know anything about Charles Daly guns.  Just trying to help though!  Good Luck.
