Finally got some copper in so I decided to make this pot from some of the sweetest Black Walnut Burl you'll ever lay your eyes on. 3 - 1/2" copper over Glass with a laminated striker. What ya think? Headed to the classies....

Beautiful.

A man would really have something if he had a matched set of pots from walnut like that.

I got busy turkey hunting and missed this question, and just stumbled over the thread.

I think a well equipped pot call owner is one with a slate, a bronzed glass, a copper or aluminum (or both), and a ceramic pot.  A set from the same figured walnut blank would look absolutely great and would make a nice set for one's self or a gift to a graduating senior, retiring man, or for Christmas.
