I posted these in the general forum, but thought id sharem with the team.
These were caught in the Monongahelia National Forest on my favorite fly rod. Not big by some peoples standards, but most definitely the prettiest fish in WV hands down.

Basser, those are Brook Trout. They are native to much of the Eastern United States from Maine all the way to the mountains of Georgia.
Lyle, I was using my fly rod with flies. no minnows.
That is awesome. If I remember correctly you tie some awesome flys.
What I want to see is all those big Mountian Mushrooms yall pick up in Turkey season
I thought you were using them as bait.
NICE BROOKIES.

Our bass down here would eat those little boogers in a heart beat. Looks like fun though. I though brookies were bigger than that

Thats what those California boys use to catch those big bass.....They almost broke the world record, but it still belongs to a GA boy caught on an artificial plug. I think a Japanese kid broke the record last year but used live bait.
That's a good way to pass time waiting on season to open. :icon_thumright:
I'd love to try that one day....awesome lookin stream and fish!!!!
