Title: squeaky gobbler lounger
Post by: longspur on March 20, 2012, 03:32:28 PM
Any ideas on a fix. I thought about putting some petrolium jelly on the squeak but I didn't know if it might harm the fabric over time. Graphite maybe???

I think I remember somebody mentioning baby powder...

I would probably use teflon tape, graphite makes a mess.

Where is it squeaking? At pivot points? If so can you disassemble and add some teflon washers? If not, I'd go with the tape as suggested.

Sound advise.

I'll have to remember the baby powder trick.

if that thing had a headrest no one would kill turkeys out of it....  I can barely stay awake in it. I just pulled mine out of the garage for the weekend.

I thought you just practiced the cadence and worked it into your calling routine.

Now that's some true-to-life peckin' and scratchin'.  ;)

Glad to see this post and the suggested solutions.
I will give the powder a try.

Does it sound like a squealing hen?

Baby powder is a good suggestion.  Armor all might help too.
