Title: Gobbling good in VA
Post by: trkehunr93 on March 20, 2012, 03:11:56 PM
I've been out five mornings so far and things are picking up.  Listened to one gobble this morning for 30 minutes, I walked right past him in the dark going in.  Had no idea he was 100 yrds. below me.  As of right now he is on the hitlist for my son Jayden on youth day April 7th.  Heard another one gobble twice but could not pinpoint where he was roosted.  You guys getting to hunt are killing me, can't get here soon enough for us in VA.

Good luck my friend.  Want to see a picture of your son with his bird.  Hunting last weekend may have been the worst thing I could have done cause now waiting for April 1 is so much worse!

Sounds like you need to come up to VA, our reg. season starts April 14th.  No shortage of birds!
