I used to always use slate then moved to glass now the latest one I have tried is the aluminum over glass and it sounds great

My favorite is glass over glass followed closely by aluminum over glass

Copper first, folowed by slate, then glass/crystal

I prefer glass ( actually crystal ) next aluminum then copper. Haven't used slate in a while

It would have to be a tie for crystal and copper for me, followed by aluminum, then slate.

I love the versatility of my anodized aluminum hands down, Just like I have a stack of great mouth calls but nothing beats the veratility of my executioner and Executioner II they do everything well and thats what I look for in the woods

I always say copper but I have at least one call in every surface that sounds as good as anything. Gobblers seem to like aluminum the best though.
