Title: What choke do I use?
Post by: Bigbirdkiller75 on March 18, 2012, 04:08:48 PM
I have a mossberg 500 12ga and I put a burris red dot on it but I don't know what choke would be good to get a good pattern. I use federal premium 3in mags wit the flite control wads

I use a Wright's (Limited Production) Turkey Choke #1 with those shells with good results as do a number of my readers. It has a .670 exit diameter, with a crowned muzzle and is rated for all lead and tungsten-based shot.

I do recommend that you "deep clean" the bore and the choke before patterning those Flitecontrol Wad shells. Most like a pretty clean bore.

Thanks,
Clark
