Hey guys, just picked up a Browning Gold NWTF 12ga, 3.5" NWTF w/ a 24" barrel. The gun has been shot 6-10 times. It currently has a .680 Kicks GT in it. The previous owner just shot copper coated lead 5s through it. Need help quick. I have the option to purchase a new Jellyhead .670 for it for 30 bucks and pick up some Win XR 3.5" 6s......OR would you just pick up the Win. XR 3.5" 5s and shoot the Kicks GT .680 thats with the gun?
Which would you do? Pick up the XR 5s and go for the .680 Kicks OR Get a .670 JH and grab the XR 6s???? Gotta do something this pm., let me know
As long as your poa and poi are good either load should shoot good out to 40 but if it were me personally I would buy the JH and shoot the #6's.
POA/POI are dead on the money
Pick up a box of #6 XRHD and see what the Kicks will do, I shot a .675 Kicks in a X2 a couple of years and got good patterns with #5 and #6 xrhd, I bet the .680 will give you a good 40 yard hunting pattern.
