Title: Patterned the Turkey Thug today.
Post by: coyotetrpr on March 17, 2012, 06:24:28 PM
At a long stepped 40 yards the Turkey Thug 835 with 20 inch barell and Hevishot 676 choke, shooting Mag-blends gave me 142 in a 10 inch circle and 181 in the 20 inch circle. I was not impressed and decided to measure the actual shooting distance. When I taped the distance it was 150 feet. Now I am pretty satisfied with that for a 50 yard pattern. I think the pattern is pretty even as well. When my wife(the one with tech smarts) gets home I will try to post a pic. :)

That sounds very good, especially at that distance. Patterns tend to really break up beyond 40 yards.

You're seeing what most of my readers and folks who've purchased that choke are seeing.

Thanks,
Clark

Thanks for the kind words. I will admit that recoil on this gun is worse than any other shotgun I have ever fired.
