Title: sbeII forcing cone removal
Post by: jasperjet on March 17, 2012, 12:31:34 PM
I've got a reamer and lenghtened my sx2 but since the sbeII barrel is chrome flashed can I cut it and just resharpen the reamer or does it require a special reamer for chrome? I'm just hoping doing this will lessen the "felt" recoil. By the way it did help the sx2 feel like it kicks less.
thanks

Seriously?!  You must not shoot a lot of pump guns if you think your SBE II recoils too much.  Yes, it will recoil a bit more than other semi-auto, gas op guns but it will recoil considerably less than ANY. Pump gun shooting the same load.

I really didn't notice any difference in the FELT recoil when I had the forceing cone lenghtened on mine.
I've had some "kicking" turkey guns in the past but I'm beginning to believe my SBEII kicks almost as bad as the M/B 835 that I had.

Nothing kicks worse than a Mossberg 835!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! End of discussion.

Or an 870??!!  Shoot the same loads in each gun and you tell me which one kicks more!
