PSE there are a bunch of great options out there.

from all the ones i have or have tried below are ones i really like and would recommend without question.

Lights out - Wendell makes a great call and is a good dude to talk to and work with.
Warbird - Jim is also a fine guy to deal with but stock may be limited for a week or 2
WoodHaven - good call but a bit pricy these days.
David Halloran - makes a SWEET slate call and his glass calls are well know to speak turkey!

there are a bunch of good call makers on here so you will have a ton of options to choose from. Let me know if you want to see or hear any of the ones i have i can text you sound files or run them over the phone for you.

These folks can do better at giving you a recommendation if you state what you already have.  If you have a good slate, it probably makes more sense to get glass, etc.

You can look through the forum and see a bunch of good makers and calls for sale here.  If you find a maker close to home, you might be able to go to the shop and run a few.

Lonzo's--Lon Trice--on the DD Adams award for a glass pot last year and a slate pot this year.  He is worthy of consideration as well.

WillowRidgeCalls death wish cherry bronze glass,  MarkJM sassfrass slate or a Lonnie Sneed Hot Hen slate.  Lightsout anodized aluminum in a yellowheart pot and another one that is awesome is a crystal mistress from David Halloran.  Just call the callmakers and they will play there calls over the phone.  They all sound unique,  that why you need more then one.  Scoot ;D ;D

I like the aluminum the best, but thats just my opinion. His slate is pretty good as is the glass, but that aluminum just sings!

I have a Lights Out osage slate thats never seen the woods I could sell you for a good price, just traded for it and then a friend gave me several of his new slate calls to try and I dont have a need for that many slates. It sounds great but his Aluminum is his bread and butter
