Title: Carlson's .575 or Hastings .562 for HW #7???
Post by: jtg88 on February 23, 2011, 12:25:54 PM
Between the Carlson's .575 extended tube and a Hasting's .562 extended tube which do you think will perform better out of a Winchester 1300 with Federal HW #7?  I've found both for about $25.00 so I've thought about just getting both and then selling the one the gun doesn't like.

The Hastings, without a doubt in my mind.  Find me one for a Remington that would be great.

Hastings, without a doubt. Does great in my gun. 170's in the 10" at 40yds with a remington 870 compact with a 21" barrel. going to do some more testing this weekend to see if it will still hold up.

Is that 176 in a 10" or 12" circle?

Well, I got both.  Next weekend I'll run some Heavyweight through each and the loser will be posted in the classifieds.
