Option 1: 2"-4" BEARD
Option 2: 4"-6" BEARD
Option 3: 6"-8" BEARD

I killed 8 jake's before I set the bar higher.Most of the others are 8 - 10 with 2 over 10.

My average comes out to 8.75 in, two jakes drag it down a bit but I would take back those kills im new enough to remember all my birds, and misses  :z-dizzy:

9, 5, 5.5, 11.125, 10, 9.5, 10, 7, 11

my average spur is 0.88in and also brought down by the two jakes

I have quite a few around 8-9 inches.  I have yet to cross the 10" mark.

Most of the places I hunt are fairly thick and the birds have averaged a 9 1/2" beard but would have spurs over 1"

Most of mine are in the 8" to 10" range. My longest was 11 1/4".

I don't know. I have never had an interest in weighing my birds or measuring the beards or spurs--unless they were exceptional.

Most 8 -10, most around 9 - 9.5.  Couple in the 11 range and one that is 12.5

I voted 8/10  :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an.. I rarely shoot a jake.. not unless its been a tough season(birdless),with a bunch of tags left.

Almost all of them are in the 10-12" range. Majority are 10.5-11"

10-12 just because I've only killed 2. The first was 10 1/2 and the second was 11 1/4 in.

I went with 8-10, only because there wasn't a 9-11 option. :lol:
My best is 13-13/16" beard that I accidently shot part of. Would have easily gone 14"+ if I hadn't put a pellet through it. :(

I guess I only kill the dumb ones because they seem to be mostly 2-3 year old birds with average credentials.

about 40 of mine have been 8-10 . but 2 were 10 1/4  , 1  was 10  1/2 and 2 were double bearded but they fell in the 8-10

I'll only take a longbeard regardless if it's a 2 year old or older? And what I have experienced with the birds I have taken, the vast majority are 8-10in. as very few are under 8in., just as very few are over 10in.

Although, with this mild winter and non existent icing conditions should make for a good longbeard season? Maybe I'll get one of them rare 10in. plus beards this year?
