Title: choke question
Post by: surehuntsalot on March 08, 2012, 11:28:58 PM
is it ok to shoot Federal HW and Hevi13 through a Hastings choke?????
I bought a .570 Hastings last year at the end of the season, was putting it in my 870 today getting ready to do some patterning and I noticed the choke had"lead only" on the side of it

I have the same exact choke, albeit Invector®. I have shot about 50rounds (Remington® Hevi•Shot®, & EM Hevi 13), in shot sizes 4, 5, & 6; through the choke in my Mossberg® Mdl 500C with no ill effects.
