He's lucky where I'm from if you block a fire department bay door or a fire hydrant and your vehicle must be move to get out or access the hydrant your vehicle will be moved...not towed moved!! Its also illegal to drive over a fire hose.

Now you see the idiots we deal with on a daily basis. Never got to do it but it would be fun. I have however heard of them pushing vehicles with the truck if needed.
When my dad was in our Fire Dept years ago, they had to do the same thing. Got to a fire and a car was blocking the hydrant. They smashed the windows out and ran the hose across the front seat. Another time they went to a call and there was a car blocking the road where they had to go. As was already mentioned in the thread, a tow truck was not used. They pushed the car out of the way with the truck and kept going like it wasn't there.
