Title: Browning BPS Hunter 12g 28" Choke suggestions
Post by: yemtig on March 06, 2012, 02:55:17 PM
Hi all, new member who is finally getting into hunting some turkeys!  I use this gun for my waterfowl hunting but was curious on what type of aftermarket chokes you all would suggest....  I have read other similar threads on the BPS and have seen the following chokes suggested:

Kicks GT .670
IC 0.665
Trulock SSX 0.665
Rhino 0.670

Anyone that owns one and has a good choke suggestion, lets hear it!!

Cheers,

MT

IC .665 is good.

Clark's suggestion of the Hevi-Shot .664 is also good.

Those are my top choices right now....

Welcome to OG. Glad you're here and look forward to hearing more from you.

The Hevi-13 Turkey Choke is a good choice for you Invector+ barrel. It has good "internals" and a .664 exit diameter. I've seen good results as have a number of my readers.

Thanks,
Clark

My hunting partner is shooting a 28" BPS with a Kicks .665 and getting awesome patterns with Mag. Blends.

Buddy of mine shoots the same setup witha HeviShot choke and 3" MagBlends and it patterns excellent at 40 with that load.

C-n-C .670 and Magnum Blends is massive

You keep shooting those magblends through that c-n-c you best start wearing some protective armor.  Dangerous stuff.

Got a friend shooting a BPS 3 1/2 with a Jellyhead. He's getting good patterns with about anything he puts in it 3"
3 1/2"  4's, 5's, 6's  and mag blends

Never mind. I didn't relize CNC was a lead only choke.
