There has been a few posts about this if you do a search.  I like the cabelas recon hunt app really well.

I have the Deer Scouting app. It's a paid app, but it also uses Google Earth to plot all of the important notes like scrapes, beds, and tracks. I like it a lot

I use Spyglass for hunting and navigation. It works when offline and supports several map types. The most helpful function for me is the ability to mark spots and waypoints for tracking. I use it to mark my car and stands locations. It's a paid app but you won't regret. https://itunes.apple.com/app/spyglass/id332639548?mt=8&at=11lLc7&ct=fs

I am very pleased with "Topo Maps".  Trimbal bought out My Topo and has an interesting app, but I have no personal experience with the app(s).

I found Trimbal to have a very heavy memory and size footprint on my android device, but it was pretty good. It's a CPU hog though.

I have been using huntstand and it has been great.  you can look at satellite images, topo maps, and it syncs to hunstand.com so you can make changes and edits there and sync it back to your phone.  and its free with a paid version coming soon.

They have two flavors, huntstand lite for deer and general hunting, and then Huntstand Turkey Hunting specific to turkey hunters.  the hunstand for turkey is local data only and you cannot edit it online... yet... fingers crossed!

I use the map feature on my phone more than any hunting app.
