I have a few questions about if anyone here has ever hosted a handicap hunt for a youth or a disadvantaged youth hunt for turkey?
I have some private land and it's been on my heart for several years now to looking into hosting a child at some point in the season one weekend but have never really looked into it.
Until now.
Don't really know where to begin, who to contact, what licensing for the youth would be needed etc.
I'm not 100% sure this will be the year but I feel that it is time to at least start looking into the possibility of this.
And I'm sure that as happy as the kids are that participate in these hunts, the mentors get just as much from bringing a smile to a kid.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I don't have any info that will help just wanted to say thanks for wanting to do that. I hope to be able to do that myself one day :icon_thumright:

I would contact the NWTF, my nephew is legally blind and he and his father went on a turkey hunt through them where Sam got to kill his 1st. Turkey with the help of his father aiming for him, Sam held the gun and pulled the trigger, it was a opportunity that he may never get again, they vidoed his hunt and aired it, it was truly special to Sam.
