Been averaging between 115 and 122 #6's in 10in.@ 40. Now i am going to clean & polish my barrel to try and get my numbers up. Hope this helps.Anyone else shooting hevi 6's and what is your #'s. Gun is 21" 870
Those are really good numbers for the 6s.
If I was shooting those numbers with 6's I wouldn't consider 7's.

What choke you shooting
I'm shooting an Indian Creek .555 I tryed a rsf choke and was getting high 80's to low 90's in 10in.@ 40. Going to stick with the IC and hope after cleaning & polishing barrel #'s might go up a bit.

Thats a good pattern for the 6's it sounds like. Polishing should help improve it a little bit if you've never done it before. Let us know how it goes
I'm getting almost identical numbers with Mossberg Bantam and a .572 undertaker.
mossy 20 with polished barrel and ole cheap tightwad choke,im getting 135-143 average with 200 being the average in the 20 with hevi #6 and yes the polishing is the trick :OGturkeyhead:
I can get around 120-125 with the old Remington Hevishot #6's using a .565 Truglo GSX
My 870 compact averages 115-125 with the fed hw #6's. Shooting them through a hastings .562
Shane
I am averaging about 95 at 40 with H13 6's out of a 21" 870 and a Truglo GSX.
Shot my 870 21" today after i cleaned and polished it. Shot 3 times, 1 was high, 1 was right, hit the 3rd. shot hit just right and had 137 #6's Hevi-13 in the 10"@40. All 3 shots was a death shot for a turkey. LOVE THE LITTLE 20GA. :funnyturkey:
sounds like a winner! :z-guntootsmiley:
Those are good numbers with 6's.
Not sure that you would need to but have you tried any 7's ?

Not saying you are lying, but that is one that is a little tough to believe. Reason being, is that no one has gotten numbers close to that since the production of the old 20 ga H13 shells. You are using shells that have been known to get subpar numbers compared to the other older shells, and you are shooting at a much cooler temperature.
How many boxes of these have you sent downrange to get your average?
i know what your saying but this gun loves this shell,i have shot 7 of the new shells i got the other day with average being 135, ive polished the barrel and thats the only special thing ive done to this little gun.i havnt shot them in any weather below 60 so i dont know what they will do on the cool opening mornings but i bet its gonna be a dead turkey :OGturkeyhead:
