Title: Turkey populations in W TN
Post by: oldfart on February 22, 2011, 07:44:10 PM
Has anyone sized up the turkey population in W TN, especially considering the flooding from last Spring?  I own a small farm between Yorkville and Central. It borders the N Fork of the Forked Deer River bottom. Prob major losses to the hatch unless they did a second nest.  Sounds like flooding occured at the worst possible time.
I also hunt in Weakley County, maybe a bit better over there.
I'm seeing signs of being able to make it to W TN, my knee is getting better after replacement.  I'm just an OF with new parts!
Thanks    Ray

A lot of young poults were seen in my area during August of last year.
