Title: Stabilized Oak

Did this one up in copper Stabilized Red Oak ,,,Green Dyed
First time for me turning the stabilized wood and wont be my last as it make a great sounding call
and was doing some digging and found out i had some one doing stabilizing for 20 years 15 minute from my place ,,Paid the man a visit and had the most fantastic woods and burls i ever laid my eyes on and left with nice little box LOL

Stabilized Red Oak ,,,Green  Dyed

It's impregnaited with some type of agent such as a polymer to prevent movement like warping and checking.  It also adds moisture resistance.

Btw thats one great looking call I hope it plays as good as it looks.

Pretty much what gooserbat said and this had a dye put in for color This here call got light coat finish on it but it will polish up just like it is know with a little buffing The stuff is pricey but makes for one great sounding call
