Went out this morning here in SC , the birds where really sounding off until a huge rain shower came up and spoiled all of it . Im trying to map out every bird I hear this year so I can go back to those sections with the most birds in them.
Anyone else go out and listen??
went out this morning heard one multiple times, rain shut it down for me as well, went to another spot after things let up and seen 4 more,no gobbling but still what i like to see good luck this season
Went shed hunting this morning here in central Ohio, made it a point to get there before daylight just to see if anything would gobble. Heard multiple gobblers and several hens. It was 29 degrees here. This morning.
I havent been out to listen yet but I talked to a buddy of mine today that said he heard a couple gobbling behind his house one morning earlier this week. He called back to them for a while and they seemed to be fired up.
I'm going to listen in the morning. Hopefully the storms that rolled through won't make them tight lipped.
They gobbled good on the roost here in Pa this morning.
