My son won a NEF Pardner pump at a DU banquet. Im gonna set it up for a turkey gun for him. Gonna try a SSE choke and Hevi Shot 2oz #6's. Just wondering if anyone has tried this setup.
A buddy has the turkey model. Those guns are TANKS! Heavy and actually pretty well built. Some guys hate on it because its made in china but the one my friend has shoots very well. He added a cheap tightwad choke and a meuller red dot and it just loves remmy nitro 4s.
made in a plant in china that is owned by remington, so your money still goes to remington,
I have three of them and they have malfunctioned exactly zero times for me because of gun error, a few were operator error i.e. short shucking, great little guns
the only thing that I don't like about them is the weight, especially the 20ga weighing the same as the 12
All of these replies reflect what I've seen from those guns and heard from many readers who have them. Overbuilt but really quite good guns.
Thanks,
Clark
they make great little turkey guns! my son also won one at a turkey shoot a couple a years ago and we set it up as a dedicated turkey gun.we added a monte carlo stock a truglow choke and had it d&t for a weaver rail and put a red dot on it.Man does that thing shoot!the factory trigger is just about perfect.so far rem nitro 3' in 6 shot has patterned real well but we are going to try some win 3' 2ounce 6 to see what they'll do.Recoil though is a drawback, that baby kicks!
I thought all the Pardner pumps came drilled and tapped from the factory?...
I Almost bought one last fall,A Turkey one,Im not American so i dont care where my money goes as long as i get the product i want.I Prefer Browning over any other Gun maker thats making Shotguns and i really like Pardners for Single shots.Nice Gun!
