Title: Vinci Speed dot
Post by: rawalley on February 28, 2012, 11:25:08 PM
Do they make a new burris speed dot to fit on a vinci?  I like the shim mount but dont see how it would work on a vinci.

They do not make one and are not planning on making one. You should be able to use the Marlin 336 base on top but its not as low profile of course.

You will have to drill and tap another hole to get the 336 mount on.

We gave it the old college try but it just wasn't doable with that gun.  Nice gun though.  I shot sporting clays with one last year in Canada.  I liked it but I don't think it liked the ammo that was furnished.  It didn't cycle reliably.  I don't think that's indicative of the gun.

Drilling and tapping may be the way to go with that one.  I like that setup a bit better than the speedbead if you are doing mostly just turkey hunting with it.
