Title: Sighting in my turkey gun
Post by: duckaholic25 on February 27, 2012, 08:56:19 PM
I got a new mueller sight for my 835 and was planning on using a lead sled to sight it in, but a guy told me that my POI would be different when using the sled rather than shooting it off my knees like I am hunting. Is this true??

I always use sled or sandbag and finish up with one off knee with back against tree.

What's the difference in shooting your turkey gun off your knee and sighting in your deer rifle off your knee? Would anyone do that? Don't know about everyone else but I use the sled or bags on everything I sight in.

your cheek weld will be diffrent when shooting from the sled vs your knee but id sight in from the bags then shoot one off the knee to finish up doesnt hurt to double check  :newmascot:
