Hello to all. New to the forum! This is my first post. Read a lot of great stuff on this forum! Always appreciate fello hunters advice.
Wondering if anyone has tried or knows anything about the new GenII stock from Blackhawk??
How dose it compare to the original? Fit & feel? Thinking about upgrading my 870 with one of these stocks!
From what I read on hear everyone speaks highly of the original stock & I'm wondering if the new one is an improvement or not as good as the original? Any advice or thoughts is appreciated! Thanks!

Yes I did see the you tube videos! GenII looked like an improvement over the original to me. Cabala's is back ordered on them for 3-4 weeks, I tried to order one this morning... Sometimes company's change products to make improvements on them to make them better, but sometimes they change them so there cheaper to manufacture but not as good quality. Blackhawk seems to have a real good Rep so think I'll order one, get my hands on it & let you fellas know what I think. I like trying new stuff anyways!! Cabela's is real good about returns if your not satisfied ;D

I have one of the originals on my 870SM and couldn't be happier. If the Gen II is an improvement then that is one heck of a stock and I couldn't imagine Blackhawk taking a step backwards with a new upgrade.
I was skeptical of the original version, until I bought one this year for my sons 20, Now I,m in love with it and looking to buy another for my 870.
I will check both websites out and see what I can see hopefully I can find what I am looking for.
I tried to find a genII online today but no one had any in stock so no luck. Looking for a camo one to fit a rem 870. Anyone got any ideas on where to find one?? Going to call Blackhawk tomorrow and see if I can get one right from them. Thanks

The one I was looking at on cabelas say it reduces recoil. I think they make 2 different models, one that is and one that isnt recoil reducing. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but I dont think so.

I talked with a lady from Blackhawk this morning and she said the genII camo stock to fit the 870rem is still in production and wont be available till mid to late April... So I'm going to put one on backorder from cabelas and hope it comes in early. I'll let ya fellas know what I think of it when it comes in. Thanks
