Title: Coud be bad spring for plant life!
Post by: agturkey on February 24, 2012, 06:42:12 PM
Kentucky Feb 2012 trees with popping buds and bulbs pushing up!  The early growth and cooler temps that cold come could be bad.  Turkeys are puffing up and talking!

I thought about that earlier this week when I noticed the bradford pear across from my house was beginning to bud...It is blooming now.. About a month earlier than usual.

when we got home from nashville I noticed lots of hardwoods with blooms on them... hope we get a few weeks of cooler weather and shut the birds down... that way their just in line with season....

You guys are making me sick. It's 25 here and snowed 4 inches Thursday. It has been extremely warm though for this time of year with the temps in the upper 30's and low 40s. I can't wait for it to warm up a little more though.
