A buddy of mine found a 10 count box of the original 3" 1 1/4oz #6's that was a great shooter. He patterned them today through his Rem. 870 20ga with a 26" barrel. He was shooting them through a jellyhead .570 and a puregold .570. He told me that 40yds would be pushing it with those chokes. He said a lead #5 patterned as good as they did. My question is for the ones that shot these loads before they became obsolete. What constriction did you get your best patterns with?

Ditto as to the 555 choke.
It is the new 5 pack #6 that likes the 570 .

:agreed:
He went back to the store where he bought the puregold .570. The guy at the store called his puregold rep to exchange the choke. The rep is sending him a new tempest .555 to try. I told him that would probably be the ticket.
