Trying to set my Dads BPS up. He loves it and won't shoot anything else at a turkey. Thinks that is the only thing that will kill a turkey even though he has missed several that I have called up for him. Taking the humble approach and quit trying to get him to use my gun. Got any affordable set up suggestions on where to start......never patterned a 10ga before
For lead I have had good results with the higher end Winchester 5's and a Primos Jellyhead choke. That is a pretty affordable set up. I haven't tried Hevi 13 or the Nitros yet but I may get some Hevi 13 loads and try this year.
I've heard the Indian Creek chokes work well for the BPS10 also but I haven't personally tried one.
Thanks for the info. I'll look into it.............At this point, I'm all ears.
Call Mike at Indian Creek. Then #5's in Hevi Shot. I had 23 hit's on a bird in the head and neck at 35 yards with this set-up in my BPS. He may need some type of sights, due to my age I use a scope.
