How many this past fall and spring took a turkey with their 20ga shooting hevi-13 #7's? I took a hen this past fall with it. I shot her at about 20 yards and rolled her.
Also, thanks to everyone for the recommendations on loads. I am very pleased with my 20ga 870 26" barrel .550 SSX and hevi-13 7's. My best is 150 hits in a 10" circle at 40 yards. I never thought the lil 20ga would be a turkey killin machine, but it is. Plus it's a joy to carry and out shoots some of my 12ga set ups with lead.
I took a long beard with them last year over 35 ,stone dead !
I bought a 870 youth for my 11 year old and patterned it over the weekend at 30 yards with the RSF and 7's and got 192 in the 10 at a taped 30, It only shot 125 at 40 but should be fine for his first turkey gun.

125 is a great number, especially for a 20 for a young feller. That will allow plenty of margin of error, especially if one gets in close.

My little 20 and the 7s was very busy last year :you_rock:
I shot 2 with mine last year. Both were inside of 20 yards.
