Title: Youth model H&R ?
Post by: TIMBER on February 19, 2012, 07:28:13 PM
I need some help. I'm gonna be borrowing an H&R youth model pump for my son to use this year for turkeys. I know I will have to try more than one combination, but do any of you guys have any expercience with this gun, choke and shells? A decent starting point would be a great help. He's 7 and small but can handle the recoil of a 243 pretty well, so I will go with 3" shells. Thanks in advance for any information.

hey, this should help.  About a month ago i got my wife a pardner pump. i spent a long time looking for a cheaper 20ga choke w invector threads and never found one that i was confident in. i ended up buying a cabelas hevishot choke .575 superfull for 39.99 and hevi 13 number 7's 'there on sale at cheaper than dirt.com for $11 a box'. she just shot it on saturday and had over 100pellets in the  turkey head  target! i was very happy with the results
