Title: 870 with ssx and hevi pattern!?

What do yall think? Good or could be better? 157 pellets in 10" circle at 40 yards.

What length shell? That will work, If thats a 3" shell then that close to what i get from my 3" 870. I get 155-170.

I believe you'll break the 200 mark easily if you drop back to the .665 range.  Try the Jellyhead. or a Kick's.

The ssx is a great choke, but I think it's just a little to tight for the #6's. Go to a choke in the .660-.670 range.

I tried a 665 Jelly Head in my 870 last year with th HV 13 3.5 # 6 and was only getting low
140's with it.

I think if you have a good even pattern it would be a great load.
